Our Services

Private Tutoring

Private Tutoring is our primary offering. Our experienced tutors work with students of all ages, either in-person in the Evanston area or online over Zoom. Our tutors have helped over 1,000 students break down complex concepts, work through challenging assignments, prepare for final exams, and master standardized testing. All our tutors are top Northwestern University students, able to connect with their students through shared experience and customize their approaches to fit each student’s individual needs. Subject Offerings

On-Campus & Off-Campus tutoring

If you live near Northwestern’s Evanston campus, we offer two types of in-person tutoring: on-campus and off-campus. On-campus tutoring takes place in a public location on the Northwestern campus, like the Norris University Center or Mudd Library. Off-campus tutoring may take place at a local coffee shop, public library, or in your home. Being face-to-face is a great way to connect with your tutor, and it can be easier to focus with a change of scenery. All of our tutors have been fully vaccinated and have access to rapid testing every weekday through the university. If you’re looking for an option with a shorter commute, read on to hear about our online option!

Online Tutoring

Throughout the pandemic, students of all ages have made the transition to online learning, our tutors included. Having taken all their own classes online for the past year, they’re now experts on online learning and know what works well over Zoom as well as what doesn’t. Whether it’s teaching difficult concepts, breaking down tricky homework problems or studying strategically, NU|Tutors can help, even when we can’t be physically together. Our highly qualified tutors are dedicated to your success and understand how to make the most of a Zoom meeting. Click the button below to get the help you need without having to leave your room!

Why Online?

  1. Comfortable

Our tutors know how important it is to build your trust, and while it may feel different to meet your tutor over Zoom, they’ll make you feel as if you’re together in the same room.

  2. Collaborative

Using tools like tablet pens and online whiteboards, our tutors closely watch their students’ thought processes unfold to make sure they learn not only how to complete specific problems, but also how to approach any difficult task that comes their way

  3. CONVENIENT

Get the help you need in the comfort of your own room, with all the benefits of in-person tutoring: connecting with each other, watching each other work out problems, and the ability to save all your notes from the session
