Our mission as a non-profit organization is to provide local students with affordable tutoring and help Northwestern tutors turn their expertise into income. All profits go straight back into our Learning Center on Sherman Ave. We’re also constantly seeking ways to give back to the North Shore community – in the past, we’ve set up free drop-in tutoring sessions and free SAT/ACT classes for Evanston public school students. Since its inception in October of 2008, NU|Tutors has helped over 1000 students achieve their academic goals. With a large pool of experienced tutors, NU|Tutors provides each student with personalized guidance. Our proven and affordable tutoring services with top Northwestern University students include subject-specific private tutoring, SAT/ACT preparation, and college application counseling. NU|Tutors provides a motivating, understanding, and engaging environment for students of all ages perfect for short-term homework help, exam preparation, and long-term mentorship.

NU|Tutors provides tutoring services and mentorships to students in the North Shore by connecting Northwestern University's accomplished and driven students to younger learners who can benefit from their expertise.

As a subsidiary of Student Holdings, a registered non-profit organization, NU|Tutors aims to provide educational and hands-on business experiences to Northwestern University undergraduate students by giving them opportunities to launch, operate and grow real businesses. That is, NU|Tutors is run by students, for students. In addition, by connecting tutors to those who need their assistance, NU|Tutors provides Northwestern students with opportunities to use their knowledge and unique skill-sets to positively impact the Chicago community.
