Jeffrey Geiger
Jeff Geiger is a rising senior at Northwestern double majoring in Linguistics and Geography with a minor in German. He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, and graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School in 2008. Prior to joining NU|Tutors, he tutored students of all levels from elementary to high school, both privately and on a volunteer basis. A seasoned standardized testing veteran, Jeff considers tutoring for the ACT, SAT, and AP tests his strong suit. By focusing on communication during tutoring, he identifies students' weakest areas so that he can tailor his tutoring sessions to best suit each client. He also stresses knowledge of test structures and testing strategies to maximize achievement. In addition to standardized tests, Jeff particularly enjoys tutoring writing (including college essays), math, and German. Outside of class, Jeff is the co-president of Northwestern's Rainbow Alliance, plays bass trombone in the Philharmonia orchestra, and works as a research assistant at the Collaborative Technology Laboratory.
